Tamerlane tells the origin story behind the brilliant 14th century general and statesman, Amir Timur, known to the West as Tamerlane.
Our story follows Timur's rise from humble warrior on the Central Asian Steppe to great liberator of the Silk Road. As a young Amir, Timur was betrayed by those closest to him, leaving him gravely wounded and his first love, Aljai, dead. Timur overcame enormous adversity and chose to rise from despair. Through superior courage and intellect, Amir Timur would unite the clans of the Silk Road and drive out the Mongol invaders.
